The Sand Worm is an enemy from Final Fantasy X, which is located in the Sanubia Desert, on Bikanel Island. Although intimidating, it is not a difficult enemy to defeat. Its main attack is Swallow that will cause one of the party members to be unusable for several turns. This will then be followed by Regurgitate which is will cause that particular character's next turn to be delayed but he/she will be usable again. Earthquake is Sand Worm's other offensive attack that will hit all party members, but takes several turns to cast. The easiest way to defeat it is to inflict Dark status, and simply use a barrage of physical and magical attacks. In addition, using Bio on the Sand Worm will cause it to lose several thousand HP every turn, drastically shortening the length of the battle.
The Sand Worm drops some particularly useful armor with Auto-Potion and/or HP +10% as well as several empty slots. The weapons that it drops are not as useful with Magic +5%, Strength +5%, Slowtouch, and/or Piercing.
