Samurai Armor and the matching Samurai Helmet are pieces of armor which are added to Fallout 3 in the Mothership Zeta add-on, worn by Toshiro Kago.

The armor provides a damage resistance of 30 as well as bonuses of 10 to melee damage and the Melee Weapons skill, the helmet sports a damage resistance of 5. Metal Armor can be used to repair the armor and likewise the helmet can be patched up with Metal Helmets.

The armor can be obtained by reverse pickpocketing Toshiro Kago, or killing him and taking his armor. You will lose no karma and no one onboard the ship will become hostile for doing so.

  • Pickpocketing Toshiro Kago is generally quite hard, even with a Stealth Boy. There is a way to do it though without killing him for his armor. You must have defeated the other ship to do this and Toshiro must be on the bridge.
    • 1st) Do the standard reverse pickpocketing steps.
    • 2nd) When he has put on the new armor you gave him. Go into the pickpocketing menu but instead of choosing the item you want to pickpocket press select all.
    • 3rd) Exit out of the menu and Activate an alien corpse. Place the Samurai Armor on the Alien. (You wont get the Helmet the first time.)
    • 4th) Once it has said you have been caught, go to the Wasteland and then come back on board, you can also destroy another generator while doing the Among the Stars quest instead.
    • 5th) Repeat step two and three to get the helmet. Wait until it has said you have been caught and then you can loot the Alien corpse that you put the armor on.
    • You should now have the armor and Toshiro will not take it off you. (Confirmed on Xbox 360)
  • Or, if you have the Gauss Rifle and the Chinese Stealth Armor, you can do it like this:
    • Give him better armor and a Shishkebab. Leave and come back.
    • Put on the Stealth Armor. Shoot Toshiro with the Gauss Rifle, it will not kill him. When he is knocked down, quickly crouch and pickpocket him. He should not be able to stop you.
    • An alternative if you don't have the Gauss Rifle is the Electro-Suppressor. Hit him a couple of times to get the knockdown effect then quickly crouch and pickpocket him.
  • Another alternative is, If you have the Paralyzing Palm perk, you can paralyze, then reverse pickpocket him. After that, leave the room, then take the armor.

The Samurai Armor appears in the Mothership Zeta add-on for Fallout 3.

Behind the scenes

  • The armor's emblem shown in the Pip-Boy, however, is that of the Tokugawa clan from the same era and onward.
  • This is also the only clothing (except Elder Lyons' Robe) that covers the player's left hand and Pip-Boy 3000, but only appears this way in the male version.

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki

The Samurai armor is an upgrade in the Transformers Animated continuity family.
It doesn't only look awesome but it flies as well.

The Samurai Armor was given to Prowl by Lockdown after they needed to team up to catch Starscream. It fits him perfectly, being able to turn into a Side-car, giving him flight ability. Part of it used to belong to Yoketron, their mutual old ninja master. It also comes with an energy sword that turns into a wheel.

The helmet was stolen from Yoketron by Lockdown along with a bunch of Protoforms many stellar cycles ago. Five Servos of Doom

After which it was put along with several other parts of Autobots which Lockdown stole and given to Prowl so that they could catch Starscream who, at the time, had a big bounty on his head from either the Elite Guard or Megatron. It was very effective in catching cowardly, or suck-up Starscream Clones. Prowl decided not to keep it after it broke a tree. but kept it for a while to catch the other Starscream that Lockdown stole. He used it to fire a bomb that Starscream put in the clones into the sky so it wouldn't destroy anything, this left him with only the Helmet which he still threw away. A Fistful of Energon

Lockdown had his own armor based on Prowl's which Prowl then stole off of him for good Five Servos of Doom

He kept it for the rest of the season and then died in it after sacrificing himself to save his leader. He was then brought back to Cybertron inside of Omega. Endgame, Part II

Proving how cool slight retools can be.
  • Samurai Prowl (Deluxe, 2009)
The new sidecar/Armor toy fits on the new slightly Retooled and Redecoed version of Deluxe Prowl. It doesn't fit on Lockdown.
The helmet is on a ball joint and easily removable. Hopefully a Yoketron toy it would fit the helmet.

  • Real Samurai would usually fight with honor (ninjas, not so much). But the suck up said that Prowl didn't when he was wearing the armor.
