Sam the Eagle, dressed as his character from the movie Muppet Treasure Island, was released in the fourth series of Palisades Toys' line of Jim Henson's Muppets Action Figures.

Sam's hat is magnetic and his red-white-and-blue clothes are a tribute to his patriotism. The telescope is extendable. The book opens to reveal a secret space to hide the small paper treasure map in. The key fits on a peg in Sam's belt. Sam's tail is a loose piece.

An exclusive Ghost of Sam Arrow Action Figure was released the next year. Before this figure was released, Palisades had planned on secretly releasing a chase variation of this figure. This variation was to feature Sam Arrow with his eyes turned to the side, and every 3-4 cases of series 4 figures were to feature one of this variatiant. Although plans for this chase figure were cancled, the Ghost of Sam Arrow exclusive did have its eyes turned to the side, and when the regular Sam the Eagle Action Figure was released, a chase variant of the figure with its eyes turned to the side was released as well.
