History

Named for the late Samantha Flynn, this vehicle is a modified 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. Sam's owner, Diego Zhao, a.k.a Rush, made special modifications to the vehicle to aid him in his one-man crusade. Headquartered in a secret channel on the F subway line in Brooklyn, Sam is equipped with an electrical conductor, busbar and solid steel casters, which allows Rush the ability to use power from the line's third rail. [1] By doing so, Diego can pilot the vehicle along any unoccupied line of tracks. The car is also equipped with a dual scroll turbocharger, increasing its power output at 2.1 hp (1.6 kW) per cubic inch. [2] The vehicle is also entirely bulletproof including the tires and windshield. If necessary, Diego can operate Sam's onboard systems and weaponry via remote control.

Weapons

Sam is equipped with a device known as "Little Sammi". Visually, Little Sammi appears as a miniature version of Rush's car, but it is actually a solid fuel rocket engine, capable of accelerating from zero to five-hundred scale miles in three seconds. Little Sammi can deliver a ten-second pulse of electromagnetic energy, rendering all electronic equipment within it's immediate area inoperable. Sam's front grill conceals twin auto-loading Remington 12 gauge shotguns. The guns are belt fed with a mix of rifled slugs, flechette rounds, sabot charges or double ought buckshot. The car is also equipped with a steel hydraulic spike and steel-core ram for offensive maneuvers and blunt attacks.

Onboard Equipment

Sam is equipped with an in-line Nitrous Oxide booster, which increases the vehicles speed for a duration of twenty seconds.

  • Unless otherwise noted, most of Sam's specifications are based upon the actual Pontiac Solstice GXP as detailed at Wikipedia.

Trivia

  • This is not the first instance wherein a Pontiac Solstice has been related to something called Rush. It was also one of the cars featured in the 2005 PlayStation 2 video game, L.A. Rush.
  • In September of 2006, DC Comics ran a sweepstakes contest for registered website users to win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP.

Location: Temple Street in Thais, here
Occupation: Shopkeeper
Notes: Sam is the Blacksmith of Thais. His real name is Samuel, but he prefers to be called Sam. He was named after his grandfather.

He sells and buys many weapons and armors. Sam is one of the few NPC:s that buys magic plate armors. The only way to sell it to him is by typing " Sell magic plate armor " Sam was the first NPC of Tibia. His neighbor in Thais is Frodo, innkeeper of the Frodo's Hut, which is clearly an allusion to the J.R.R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of The Rings where Frodo and Sam are the main plot characters. He was the first NPC to see the Tibian light of day.

Sam, known as Tom in the manga and Japanese version is an amateur duelist, Maximillion Pegasus used to humiliate Bandit Keith.

Manga biography

Tom was a fan of Duel Monsters, but didn't get enough allowance money to build a strong Deck.

When Pegasus and Keith arranged a Duel in the New York Duel Stadium, he was present in the audience. Before the Duel, Pegasus took time to gather children unfamiliar with the rules of Duel Monsters, including Tom and explained how to play. While helping Tom, he said that he was impressed with how well he was doing. Tom told Pegasus how he couldn't afford to make a good Deck, so Pegasus gave him a Deck as a gift.

At the start of Pegasus' Duel with Keith, Pegasus scanned Keith's mind with his Millennium Eye. Before playing any cards, he wrote down some instructions on a piece of paper and called Tom over. Using the instructions Tom defeated Keith.

Afterwards, Pegasus brought Tom over to the camera and invited people to buy Duel Monsters, a game where a beginner can beat a champion.

Anime biography

Sam was present at the Intercontinental Duel Monsters Tournament in New York City, having learned to play Duel Monsters the week before.

At the start of Pegasus' Duel with Keith, Pegasus scanned Keith's mind with his Millennium Eye. He wrote down some instructions on a piece of paper and called Tom over. Using the instructions Tom defeated Keith.
