Runescape

Up to date as of February 07, 2010

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

The Rune javelin is a member's only Ranged throwing weapon that is rarely used for combat. To wield one the player must have at least 40 Ranged. The rune javelin is one handed, so it can be wielded with a shield or god book for protection. The rune javelin is the second strongest javelin, the strongest being Morrigan's javelin.

Rune javelins, like all the lesser-metal javelins, rarely sell at all on the Grand Exchange. To make money from them, players can cast high alchemy on them, as the return for doing so is acceptable. Players can also use the low-alchemy capability of the Explorer's Ring on them, as this does not consume any runes. Players without high alchemy or the ring can sell them in stores, although this method gives the least returns.  Player can also trade them as junk to other players.

How to acquire rune javelins

Rune javelins can be obtained either by buying from the Ranging Guild, the range shop at the Void Knights' Outpost, trading with another player or as a monster drop from Fire giants, Steel dragons, Iron dragons, Mithril dragons, Cockroach soldiers, Rock Crabs, Dust devils, Blue dragons, Kalphite Guardians, and Lesser demons. They can also be a very rare drop from Hill Giants, Moss Giants, Cyclopes, Air Elementals, Gargoyles, Minotaurs, Jogres, Flesh crawlers, White Knights, Hobgoblins, Goraks, aberrant spectres, general graardor, the corporeal beast and Black Knights.
