Rome is the capital of Italy.
There was a Justice League Europe embassy in Rome. Occasionally Mary West, mother of the Flash, would use her son's JLE Transporter to travel there and shop. It was during one of these visits that she met Interpol inspector Antonio Verdi.[1]
