Examine A helpful soul who loves dispensing advice.
Notable features The adviser for the help system. Also the leader of the Cryptic Clue's secret group.

Roddeck is a non-player character who gives players advice using the Advisor system. He also features in the tutorial quest, Unstable Foundations. He currently resides in Lumbridge, and can be found in the building directly north of the musician.

Roddeck can be talked to from anywhere, at any time, by clicking on the "question mark" button at the upper-right corner of the screen, or by clicking on the "question mark" button in the upper-right corner of the Objectives tab. This feature is similar to the NPC Contact spell in the Lunar Spellbook.

Roddeck's residence in Lumbridge.

His advice is mostly useful for beginners. For example, one such piece of information explains to newer players how logs can be burned. Due to the 9 November 2009 updates Roddeck will no longer advise you to 'smelt' rune essence.

He was the leader of the mysterious group that ran the Cryptic Clue Fest for Thanksgiving 2009. He states that he "had too much time on his hands" and devised a series of clues for adventurers to follow. The "links in the chain" were caused by other NPCs reading his notes, has was forced to enlighten them on his plot.

In Roddecks house, if a player went upstairs and talk to the women it will say nothing interesting happens.
