The River Lum.

The River Lum is the second longest river in RuneScape, the river runs north-to-south through Misthalin, limiting east-to-west travel. Its source is in the Wilderness, north of bounty hunter area. The town of Lumbridge is named after it.

Crossing the river

Players may cross the River Lum via one of several bridges:

There is also a shortcut that requires level 31 Agility in the form of stepping-stones between Draynor Manor and the Champions' Guild areas, and a Mithril Grapple shortcut from Lumbridge Swamp to Al-Kharid that requires 8 Agility, 37 Ranged, and 19 Strength.

Travelling the length of the river

Travelling up the river rather than across it is possible by canoe. It is also possible to travel to level 35 wilderness, though the river is not visible there.

Fishing Spots

The River Lum has some important Fishing spots in several locations. If you like fly fishing or river bait fishing, there are several of these spots in Lumbridge, and more in Barbarian Village. These are the only places in free play to catch Salmon, Trout, Pike & Crayfish.

  • The River Lum's name is just like a river in Cambridge, Near Jagex HQ, Called The River Cam.
