Introduction (blurb)

The ever resourceful Captain Mackenzie Calhoun abruptly finds himself at a loss -- marooned on he primitive outback world of Yakaba after his ship, Excalibur, is destroyed by deadly sabotage. He is separated from his loyal first officer, Shelby, who has gone one to command the Exeter and is certain that Calhoun has been blasted into oblivion. On Yakaba's dry frontier, Calhoun meets and befriends Rheela, an extraordinary woman beset by enemies trying to control or destroy her and her gift -- summoning rain to her parched homeland.

Trapped on this hostile world, unable to relay to his people that he survived their ship's cataclysm, Calhoun must stand against countless adversaries who will stop at nothing to gain power or keep it from others. Life and death hang in the balance. Out in the distance, mourning but determined to move on, Shelby must discover what sort of captain she really is.

Notes

  • This skill is very useful for Edge of Extinction based groups.
  • This and Lively Was Naomei are the only skills in the game that will resurrect the caster.
  • Along with Lively Was Naomei, this is one of the few skills able to work with Frozen Soil, as Frozen Soil only prevents non-spirit creatures from resurrecting.

Starwars

Up to date as of February 04, 2010

From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

The Restoration period was a historical era ranging from 3,995 to 3,966 BBY. During this relatively peaceful time period, the galaxy struggled to rebuild following the devastation caused by the Great Sith War. With the Republic on the verge of collapse for over a decade following the war, a group of politicians decided to put into motion a series of events that was meant to restore the Republic to its prior strength. By guaranteeing the various corporations throughout the galaxy safe passage and trade along the space lanes in exchange for commercial investment in the Republic's infrastructure, the Republic was able to rebuild its military and provide much-needed goods to the people of the devastated galaxy. Hyperspace explorers once again began to scout the galaxy seeking to discover newer and safer routes. Across the galaxy, planets began to rebuild, commerce resumed, and the Republic's military might was restored. The Mandalorian Wars eventually put an end to this short period of realtive peace.
