Regen (リジェネ, Rijene) is a spell that causes the Regen status. It appears in various games in the series.
Regen is a command unique to Fusoya in the original game, which was removed from the SNES version. It restores a very small amount of HP over time to the party, usually 10 HP. This ability was replaced by Bless for the Nintendo DS remake, since the Bardsong abilities included Life's Anthem, which gives Regen to the entire party.
Regen is a Level 1 Time Magic spell that targets a single character. It costs 3 MP to cast, and can be bought for 100 gil at Walse, Istory, and Karnak.
Regen is learned from Kirin and Lakshmi. Kirin's ability Holy Aura casts Regen on the entire party. It costs 10 MP to cast.
Regen is the level 3 spell on the Restore Materia. This spell was more powerful than Cure 2, allowing the player to regenerate HP constantly instead of a set interval. A glitch involving lifting up the disc cover lets the player restore all their HP while the enemy does nothing. This glitch like all glitches involving lifting the cover, only works on the PlayStation, not on the PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3. It costs 30 MP to cast.
Despite Aeris having access to all three Cure spells in the 1996 Demo release, she does not have Regen. It is possible that Regen became part of the Restore materia after the demo release.
Regen can be Drawn from various enemies or Draw Points and cast on allies or Junctioned to stats. Regen can be used to slowly damage the Undead.
Regen appears as a White Magic spell, learned by Eiko. It costs 14 MP to cast and 25 AP to master, and can be learned through Fairy Flute and Fairy Earrings. There is also the Auto Regen ability that can be learned by all party members.
Regen is a White Magic spell found in Yuna's part of the Sphere Grid. It costs 40 MP to cast.
Regen is a White Magic spell that requires Curaga to be mastered before it appears, and takes 80 AP to master. It costs 40 MP to cast. It can also be accessed through the Garment Grid Wishbringer.
Regen is a spell that appears in three different types: Regen, Regen II, and Regen III. Regen is available to both Red Mages and White Mages starting at level 21, and anyone with one of those Jobs as a subjob starting at level 42. The spell regenerates 5 HP every 3 seconds (commonly known as a tick), a moderate amount. It will restore 125HP over its duration. Regen II and Regen III are available only to White Mages and are too high level for anyone to get even with a subjob. Regen II regenerates 12HP every 3 seconds, and Regen III will regenerate 18 HP every 3 seconds.
Regen is available on White Magick 4 License for 35 LP after the events at the Tomb of Raithwall. The spell itself costs 1,900 gil and uses 16 MP each cast. Regen can be used to counter the Sap status effect.
In the International Zodiac Job System version, Regen's License is White Magick 6, available in Mt. Bur-Omisace. Regen can be used by three job classes; White Mage, Red Mage, and Knight, although Knights must acquire the Esper Mateus License first.
Regenga bestows the Regen status, and it is learnable by Ashe and the Time Mage. Basch can also use Inner Peace to grant himself Regen.
Regen is learned by the White Mage class for 350 JP. It costs 8 MP to use and has a speed of 25. Regen can be used to counter the Poison status effect and vice-versa. Regen does not work on the undead.
In the PS1 version, there is a chance that the user will say, upon casting the spell: "Share lives with all things in nature.... Regen!".
Regen is a buff that gives the targeted unit 1/10th of its max HP (rounded down). In addition to being a Reaction ability for Hunters and Snipers, it is also a clan benefit that can be chosen before each battle upon earning the clan title "Journeymen", and there are also the stronger versions of this Clan Privilege called Regenra and Regenegra. It can be learned as an action ability by many characters, but often isn't called Regen. Notable examples include Hurdy, who can learn the skill Angelsong from the Hurdy-Gurdy instrument that casts Regen on the target, and Adelle, who can use the skill Adelaide as a Heritor to cast Regen on the target as well.
Regan is a bonus effect added to certain armors. It recovers either HP or SP.
Regen is a level 10 Enhancing Spell ability, exclusive to the White Mage class, and caps at level 100. It slowly restores HP of one ally over a period of time, can be used once per battle, and up to 5 times a day.
