From the back cover: It began with THE LOST YEARS: the story of what happened to Captain Kirk and the legendary crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise when their original five-year mission ended. The saga continued in A FLAG FULL OF STARS and TRAITOR WINDS. Now, in RECOVERY, J.M. Dillard brings to an end one of the most exciting chapters in Star Trek history!
Admiral James T. Kirk, former Captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise and now Chief of Starfleet Operations, is at a crossroads in his career. When he is assigned to supervise the testing of the U.S.S. Recovery, an experimental new rescue vessel, he begins to realize how tired he is of being trapped behind a desk, away from the action. Fully automated, the Recovery is a high-speed transport vessel capable of evacuating large populations without risking the lives of Starfleet personnel. But when its creator falls under alien influence, the Recovery becomes a pawn in a deadly game that could lead to interstellar war.
Trapped in the bowels of the ship is Admiral Kirk's old friend, Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, who is being hunted by a homicidal madman determined that no one on the ship will survive. Taking command of a starship, Admiral Kirk must find a way to save Dr. McCoy's life - and save the galaxy from deadly chaos!

Recovery is a quest.
Brett wants beer. Why doesn't he go get it by himself?
|
A glass of beer? It's for Brett, isn't it? I've seen so many kids like you, I can tell just by looking. More of those experiments? Yeah, well, that old coward won't come by and get the beer himself... He owes me a few Kamas, he does. But hey, it's nothing to do with you, is it? How much do you need, child? |
You've got the beer. When you give it to Brett, you should get all your strength back.
|
Beer! Hem, yes, give it to me. It's ... mmmm ... essential for my concentration. OKAY. Now for the real magic... I'm gonna give you all your strength back. By the way, young adventurer, take care of yourself, nothing is the same in Amakna. If you want to replenish your energy over there, you'll have to find an Inn to rest at... or potions that will restore your energy. I always go for the beer myself! |
Quest finished.

The Recovery is a flatbed tow truck featured in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
Contents |
Whilst it cannot tow cars, the Recovery is a, large heavy vehicle which makes it good at disabling police vehicles. The Recovery's only paint scheme is red and it cannot be resprayed at a Pay 'n' Spray.
As aforementioned, the Recovery is large and can knock other cars out of the way with ease. Its size means that it can sustain a good amount of damage before exploding. It has moderate acceleration, but its handling could be better, featuring poor cornering due to its long wheelbase and heavy weight. Its slow speed makes it easy for the police to bust the player. In general, the Recovery is an undesirable vehicle that is pretty rare and, with only one location in the entire city, it is also hard to find and is not driven on the streets (except during one mission).

Edge of Victory I: Conquest |
Recovery is the first eBook and seventh installment of The New Jedi Order series set in the Star Wars galaxy. This short story by Troy Denning sets the stage for much of the novel Star by Star and shows a slow reconciliation between Han Solo and his wife Leia Organa Solo. It is included in the paperback version of Star by Star.
As the forces of darkness threaten to engulf the galaxy, one last defiant spark remains…. Though the Yuuzhan Vong were victorious in their savage conquest of the planet Duro, they failed to extract sensitive information from Leia Organa Solo, who now barely clings to life after enduring the enemies' torture. Unless she receives medical attention soon, the badly wounded Princess and former head of the New Republic will surely die. Pursued by bounty hunters, Han Solo begins a race against time, only to find his urgent pleas for help rejected by planet after planet, as the Jedi are blamed for the continuing fight against the seemingly invincible aliens. Desperate, the Solos decide on a suicide mission. They must reach Coruscant, the New Republic's strife-ridden capital where traitors, appeasers, and assassins now share the same goal as the fierce Yuuzhan Vong: kill all Jedi….

Recovery is the rate at which Endurance is replenished over time for players and critters. A higher Recovery rate increases the amount of Endurance regained at each tick, while a lowered Recovery has the opposite effect.
Recovery is based on percentages, not flat numbers. Thus, raising your maximum endurance through accolades and set bonuses will also slightly improve the amount of recovery gained each tick.
More information can be found in the Endurance article.
Many players confuse Recovery with Health Regeneration, which refers either to the speed players regain their Health or to the powerset for Scrappers and Stalkers.
Currently the maximum Recovery % is 8.34%.
