History
The man who would become Reactron was once a sergeant in the United States Army serving in Vietnam. During the Vietnam War, the sergeant attempted to massacre a village of innocent non-combatants. One of the soldiers in his platoon, sixteen-year-old Joshua Clay was horrified at what he had witnessed, and the experience activated his latent Metahuman abilities. The sergeant was consumed by the concussive impact of Clay's attack and gained his own superhuman abilities as a result.
Years later, the sergeant adopted the costumed identity of Reactron. His entire body was covered in a special protective suit. He harnessed the ability to project explosive blasts of atomic radiation and once fought against
Supergirl and the
Doom Patrol (of which Josh Clay was now a member).

Notes
- Although this version of Reactron is no longer part of canon continuity, the modern age Reactron shares a similar history. In the Post-Crisis timeline however, this Reactron fought against Power Girl and the Doom Patrol, not Supergirl.
