Prime appears as a corpse at Dot's Diner near the Jury Street Metro Station, but only after you answer the 3 terminals in the Museum of Technology correctly. He was presumably killed by raiders. On his body is a lot of caps, some meds, and the Xuanlong Assault Rifle.

Contents

Unmarked quest: Jiggs' Loot

Main article: Jiggs' Loot

Prime has left notes in certain terminals in the Museum to help his partner Jiggs find "his share of the loot".

The key to accessing the treasure are prime numbers. After the player selects the prime number from the other two information terminals in the Museum of Technology, the reward is a key to a safe in the museum. The player will then be told that Prime is waiting at Dot's Diner near the Jury Street Metro Station.

Notes

Prime, if resurrected using the PC console, is capable of being enslaved.

Although it appears he was brutaly murdered by raiders, he still has his assault rifle and a sizeable amount of caps on him when the character finds him.

Bugs

  • This may be a bug but there is a way you can see his face. You need to discover jury street metro station first, then start the unmarked quest. When he is telling you to meet him at Jury Street Metro Station then quickly leave and fast travel to Jury Street Metro Station. When you enter Dot's diner he'll still be dead but now you can see his head and both his arms and legs.
  • Sometimes Prime can be appear as a torso with his arms head and legs cut off. Furthermore he appears to have no clothes equipped but, if you search him he will still have all the loot.
  • If you resurrect him with the console (PC), he will be hostile against the player and his body will reset, making it so you can do an endless cycle of resurrecting him, killing him, and then taking his loot. (Confirmed PC)

  • Prime Nova, a past Matrix bearer first mentioned in the Generation One Marvel comics.
  • Nova Prime, his more grammatically correct counterpart in the IDW comic continuity.
  • Sentinel Prime, another past Matrix-bearer established by more or less every publisher of Generation One comics.
  • Alpha Prime, yet another past Matrix-bearer, this time apparently exclusive to Dreamwave Generation One comics.
  • Guardian Prime, one more past Matrix-bearer, also foisted upon us by the Dreamwave Generation One comics.

Schmucks too good for disco

Fictional stories

Several stories contained the word "Prime".

Television

  • Prime Target, in which a hunter was targeting Optimus Prime, who has the Matrix.

Comics

  • Prime Time!, an issue of the Marvel Comics Generation One comic book in which Optimus Prime gets back the Matrix.
  • Prime Directive, a six-part Dreamwave Generation One miniseries which has a bunch of Autobots reactivated by the Matrix.

In addition, there is Prime Spark, a prose story in which Armada Optimus Prime, who happens to be a Matrix-bearer, meets some other Transformers named Optimus, including Generation One Optimus Prime, who also happens to be a Matrix-bearer.

What it is not

By the Matrix, Prime should not be confused with:

  • Prima, the first Matrix-bearer.
  • Primon, because there just aren't enough past Matrix-bearers on this page.
  • Primus, Transformer God, who made the Matrix.
