Preston Lindsay was a junior high school student from Manchester, Alabama. He grew up in a poor family and suffered tremendous abuse at the hands of his mentally ill mother, Susan. Preston attended Manchester Junior High School where he became best friends with new student Bart Allen. Bart learned about Preston's violent home life and helped Susan Lindsay to get the help that she so desperately needed.
As Preston's friendship with Bart grew stronger, he came to discover that Bart led a double life as Manchester's resident teen super-hero Impulse.
Preston was an avid movie enthusiast, and considered himself an amateur film maker. Along with his other friends, Bart, Mike, Wade and Rolly, Preston worked to create his very own amateur feature film.
Preston and Bart stopped hanging around with one another shortly before Bart began serving with the third incarnation of the Teen Titans. His current whereabouts and activities are unknown.
