Poison Gas is a recurring enemy ability in the series. It is often a moderately powerful Poison-elemental attack that targets the entire party and inflicts the Poison status. There also exists a more potent version sometimes, called Poison Breath, which deals much more damage than Poison Gas in the games that it appears in.

Poison gas is a discontinued random event from thieving chests. Occasionally, while looting a chest, gas would come out and damage nearby players. Despite the fact it had a green hit splat, the event didn't poison you.
Poison gas is also found by killing the Undead Ones on Karamja. The corpse will release poison gas that will damage all players near the object for about 2-3 damage. Simply walk away to avoid further damage and wait until the gas stops. Anti-poison potions are not required.
