Physical damage is any type of damage that relies on physical impact. In Guild Wars, this refers specifically to three types of damage: Blunt damage, Slashing damage and Piercing damage.

These types of damage are caused by Axes, Bows, Hammers, Swords, Daggers, Scythes, Spears, and Necromancer Minions.

Absorption effects are a way of mitigating health loss from physical damage.
