Phantom Lady was a short-lived ongoing series published by Ajax-Farrell from January to June of 1955 spanning only four issue. Ajax-Farrell briefly acquired the rights to the title character Phantom Lady who had been previously published under the aegis of Fox Features Syndicate and before that, Quality Comics. The first issue of the series is identified as No. 5 by the indicia although subsequent issues are identified as issues #2-4. This series represented the final Golden Age appearance of the Phantom Lady. She did not appear again until 1973 when DC Comics obtained the rights to the lapsed Quality Comics characters. Re-introduced in the pages of Justice League of America #107, Phantom Lady was now a member of the Freedom Fighters.
