Peiste is a genus in the Lizard Family introduced in Final Fantasy XI: Wings of the Goddess. Having been hunted to extinction by the Beastmen during the Crystal War, they can only be encountered via time travel.

Special Attacks

• Aqua Fortis: AoE Water damage, Knockback, and Poison.
• Calcifying Mist: AoE damage and Gradual Petrify. Used only by certain Notorious Monsters.
• Delta Thrust: Single target threefold attack. May inflict Plague.
• Grim Glower: Passive Gaze Attack. As long as the Peiste's eye are glowing red, anyone facing it will be Petrified.
• Regurgitation: Single target damage and Knockback. May inflict Bind.
• Torpefying Charge: Cone Attack Gaze Attack Paralyze.
