Mr. Paul was a Human Starfleet crewperson in the 23rd century.
In the 2270s, Mr. Paul was serving aboard the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. When the Enterprise staged a raid against a Romulan space station in orbit of Levaeri V, Paul was one of the hundred-odd crewpeople chosen to participate. (TOS novel: My Enemy, My Ally)
By 2286, Mr. Paul was no longer an Enterprise crewmember, when he was assigned to lead the clean-up operations after the destruction of the Omicron Ceti IV colony. Mr. Paul was up against major problems in that assignment, as there were numerous personnel whose actions needed coordination, and many dead bodies to be collected from the scene. While receiving help from surviving colonists and starship personnel alike, Mr. Paul had problems with ships like the USS Enterprise-A, which was notoriously slow to file paperwork on their missing and killed crewmembers, and the Federation Security Legion, who were collecting evidence at the scene. (TOS comic: "Old Loyalties")
The Gogolala Jubilee Jugband is a group of five Whatnots that formed the jugband on the first season of The Muppet Show. They were replaced in the second season by Lubbock Lou and his Jughuggers.

Paul (ポール Pōru), also known as Pavel, is a thief loyal to Fynn from Final Fantasy II. Better at working alone than with others, he is encountered many times in the game, where he helps the party. Firion and his allies first meet him in Altair, where he tells them he will not steal from them. Paul is freed by the party after he gets captured attempting to rescue the workers from Salamand.
When Firion and his allies are captured in the Coliseum, Paul frees them. Paul also provides information about the secret passage in Fynn Castle when the party is looking for the White Mask. After the cyclone has been vanquished, Paul provides information on how to get into Palamecia and gives the party his secret stash of treasure, including the fabled Blood Sword. Later, when the group tells him about their plans to go into Hell to face the Emperor one last time, Paul exclaims that the lot of them are bonkers, but wishes them well and tells them to come home safely afterwards. At the ending, Paul proclaims that he is now no longer serving Fynn and is now stealing from everyone regardless of their role in the war, including his former allies, and warns them jokingly to watch their backs from now on.
Like many characters in the updated version of Final Fantasy II, Paul's appearance changed. Originally, Paul looked like a ninja wearing black robes that obscured his face. However, his appearances in Dawn of Souls and the PSP collections is more in-line with the original design created by Yoshitaka Amano.

Paul was a civilian reporter for the UNSC. He was attached to the UNSC Spirit of Fire during the 2526 campaign to retake Harvest from the Covenant, in order to gain material for UNSC propaganda, but also hoped to find his wife, Carol, and his children there safe and alive at Tigard.[1] They were presumed killed during the glassing of Harvest, though he continued to look for signs that they had somehow managed to survive.[2] After finding his home town of Tigard a devastated wasteland, he punched the nearby Forerunner relic, secured by the UNSC, out of rage and grief, blaming its presence and the Covenant's interest in it for the death of his family.[3]
