Patrick Thoresen (b. November 7, 1983 in Oslo, Norway) is a professional left winger and centre who plays in the Kontinental Hockey League for Salavat Yulaev Ufa.

A QMJHL alumni who played for the Moncton Wildcats and Baie-Comeau Drakkar, Thoresen turned pro in the Elitserien in 2003-04. He spent the most part of the season with Mörrum GoIS IK, but could play for Djurgårdens IF by the end of the season; he would play the next 2 seasons with the team.

On May 31st 2006, Thoresen signed with the Oilers, becoming only the 5th Norwegian to ever play in the NHL; the others were Bj√łrn Skaare, Anders Myrvold, Espen Knutsen, and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen.

Thoresen comes from a hockey family, his father Petter having been a prominent Norwegian National Team player and younger brother Steffen also playing hockey.
