The 13 Commonwealths

Oregon was one of the states of the United States of America before the Great War. It was once a part of the Northwest Commonwealth[1], along with Northern California, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.

Appearances

The only game so far to partially take place in Oregon is Fallout 2.

Notes

Prior to the Great War, the United States had an intermediate level of government between the state and federal powers. The nation was divided into thirteen commonwealths. The United States flag was changed as well. The new flag depicted 13 stars in a circle and one in the middle. The middle star probably represented the unity of the nation.

References

  1. While the general idea was in the series since Fallout, the specific division of the country into commonwealths is described in detail only in the J.E. Sawyer's Fallout RPG, based on ideas he came up with during the development of Van Buren.
