The Ocean View Hotel is a hotel that appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and is the first safehouse available to Tommy Vercetti at the beginning of the game. The hotel is located on Ocean Drive in Ocean Beach, Vice City. A t-shirt icon can be found inside the hotel, which allows Vercetti to change into his original clothing. Various weapons and icons appear in the hotel after collecting Hidden Packages. These include: Body Armor, a Chainsaw, Flamethrower, Laser Scope Sniper Rifle, a Minigun and a Rocket Launcher. The hotel does not appear in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. The design of the hotel is partially influenced by The Clevelander Hotel in Miami.

Items in Ocean Beach Apartment

  • When you complete Phil's mission 'Boomshine Saigon' you will get three barrels of boomshine in the room.
  • Claude, the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto III, appears on a poster in the room.
  • When you have completed the mission The Job, at the apartment there is a hockey mask on the coffee table and a bag full of money on the bed.
  • On the coffee table there are magazines with pictures of Lance Vance and Ricardo Diaz on them.
  • When have completed the mission The Shootist you will get a trophy on top of the television in the apartment.
  • When you have collected all hidden packages, there is an opened hidden package on the table of the apartment.

Music

  • Inside the hotel the chours of the song "La Vida Es Una Lenteja" by Unaesta constantly plays (this song is also heared on the radio station Espantoso.)
