North Mountain (北の山, Kita-no-yama) is a location in Final Fantasy V. It is a mountain located near the town of Carwen. It is accessible on both Bartz's World and Merged World. Patches of this mountain contain purple flowers, which, if stepped on, will cause Poison status to the entire party.

After the party hears rumors of seeing Lenna's wind drake there, the Warriors of Light travel there to to find it. There, they find two poachers, Magissa and her husband Forza, who are planning on capturing Lenna and the wind drake. After defeating both, the party reaches the summit, where the wind drake lies, injured. Lenna then tries to encourage it to eat the dragon grass, by exemplifying it, which poisons her. Fortunately, she recovers, and the wind drake does as well. Then, the Warriors of Light ride the wind drake south, to Walse.

Later in the game, after Exdeath has recombined the worlds, North Mountain is located in a huge desert. Bahamut rises from a landmass and waits at the summit for the party to challenge him. The regular monster encounters are the same as they were when the party first traveled there, making it fairly easy to get there once you are at such an advanced level.
