Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) was a contempory American painter famous for his covers of the Saturday Evening Post.

The Muppets spoofed his Thanksgiving dinner painting "Freedom From Want" for a Saturday Evening Post cover in 1981.

Sesame Street artist Joe Mathieu spoofed Rockwell's "Triple Self-Portrait", with Grover in place of the artist, in Sesame Street Magazine issue 103 (June 1981).
