The newsreader was an anchor for Action 8 News, a television station located in Los Angeles, California. Sometime in 2005, after the rescue of the Oceanic 6, the newsreader was responsible for reporting Hurley's high-speed car chase in his Camaro, and his subsequent crash and arrest. During this time, she corresponded with a reporter named Jeff, whom she questioned about the events that were happening. Her report was seen by Jack Shephard. ("The Beginning of the End")
