New Venice was a Human colony on the planet Mars, in the Sol system. The colony was named for Venice, in Italy, on Earth, presumably by settlers that originated from that region. Gabrielle Carlotti moved to the New Venice colony after her family were killed in a Chakuun attack on original home in the New Milan colony. (EV comic: "Flesh of My Flesh")
New Venice is a small coastal community located on Eastern seaboard of Southern Florida. For a brief period of time, it was the adoptive home of Aquaman, Mera and Aqualad. The heroes operated out of New Venice during a time when Aquaman had relinquished the throne of Atlantis.
Several years ago, New Venice was the target of a massive assault wrought be Aquaman's evil brother Ocean Master. [1]
Following Ocean Master's attack, all of New Venice sunk beneath the sea.
