Nadine is one of the inhabitants of Point Lookout in the year 2277.

Background

Nadine stowed away on the Duchess Gambit to see the world and find her fortune, but ended up joining the Point Lookout Tribals.

Relationships

She is the daughter of Catherine.

Interactions with the player character

Gives the key to finding Jackson, removing the Lone Wanderer's scar (which restores their hair and lets them wear hats again). After she leaves the church she can be seen on the Duchess Gambit, having exacted revenge on Tobar and claimed the ship as her own, and will take the Lone Wanderer back and forth for free.

* Upon becoming captain of the Duchess Gambit, she will change clothes.

Notes

• Visually distinct due to hair dyed vibrantly orange.
• Nadine is considered a plot-essential NPC and cannot be killed (merely knocked unconscious), even after the completion of the Point Lookout main questline, as she is still needed to drive the ferry between Point Lookout and the Capital Wasteland.
• A minor easter egg relating to Nadine is when she says, "There are still some bits of my memory, where all I can recall is a white light, and a jumble of voices. Crazy huh?" This is a reference to the beginning of the game, when as you skip ahead one/nine years all you see is a white light and a jumble of voices, and her Mom is named Catherine, but her mom doesn't die.

Bugs

• Sometimes, after finding Nadine for the first time at the river boat (After speaking with her at the church) her face may change, looking almost as if she is wearing a mask. When in this state, she doesnt appear to blink.

Nadine was one of the members of the science expedition that arrived on the Island on a life raft in a storm in 1988.

On the Island

Nadine becomes a victim of the Monster. ("This Place Is Death")

Nadine arrived on the Island with the rest of her science expedition team in November 1988 and after their ship was destroyed they arrived on shore in a life raft. ("The Little Prince")

While hiking through the jungle to a radio tower with Jin and the rest of the science expedition, Nadine suddenly went missing, leading to a frantic search of the jungle by her comrades. Her beaten and bloodied body was discovered after it dropped from the canopy above. The team had ventured into what Danielle would dub the Dark Territory, while Nadine had been a victim of the Monster. ("This Place Is Death")

Trivia

• Along with Lacombe, Nadine is one of the two science expedition members whose names were not known until Season 5. The other four members of the team had all been named by the end of Season 1.
• Although Nadine in both episodes' press releases, there was a promotional still released by ABC Medianet showing all six science team expedition members and Jin here, which credited the four known team members and Daniel Dae Kim, as well as one "Alexandra Tobas". Since the two remaining team members are a man and a woman, Tobas is presumed to be the actress depicting the woman.
