NBC Salutes the 25th Anniversary of the Wonderful World of Disney aired on NBC as a two-part special, on September 13 and September 17 of 1978. Hosted by Ron Howard and Suzanne Somers, a host of celebrities commented on and paid tribute to Disney's television and film work. Big Bird made an appearance, as did Ray Charles and Bob Hope.
