Obi-Wan Kenobi's Mou kei application against Darth Vader.

The mou kei was a vicious finishing move in lightsaber combat.

Contents

Methodology

The mou kei amounted to little more than all out butchery, as the goal was the dismemberment of the opponent. This was accomplished through the use of a series of circular motions with the lightsaber aimed at the major limbs. The attack was a Sith favorite, as it completely destroyed the opponent, both figuratively and literally. It's usage by Jedi was regarded as an absolute last resort to only be applied in desperate straights.

Example(s)

A mou kei strike was used by Obi-Wan Kenobi against Darth Vader during their showdown on Mustafar, removing his left arm and both his legs.
