A moth on 343 Guilty Spark.

Moths are a type of insect that are typically nocturnal. They navigate at night using the light of the moon, which causes their well-known behavior of crowding around lights at night.

They are seen in the swamps of the level 343 Guilty Spark in Halo: Combat Evolved. They, along with the Sea Worms on the Silent Cartographer, are the only known species of Installation 04. The calls of various other creatures are heard at certain points throughout the game, but they are of unknown species. These sounds are presumably from owl-like birds and crickets. In Halo: Combat Evolved, the moths are harmless to the Covenant and humans alike.

Notable features A species of winged insect native to Gielinor.

Moths are a species of winged insect resembling a butterfly. In RuneScape, moths are groups of non-player characters found in Dorgesh-Kaan, a subterranean city beneath Misthalin. They can also be seen in various other places, although usually they are not given the traits of an NPC; for instance, they can be seen flying around lamps in areas such as the Tree Gnome Stronghold.

The moths found in Dorgesh-Kaan are small and resemble those found in the real world. However, larger species of moth are said to inhabit the cave system surrounding the city; Zanik of the Dorgeshuun possesses several hunted moths within her home.

Lists

The Moths are a series of Insect-Type EARTH monsters. Each is an evolution of "Petit Moth", that is summoned by waiting a number of turns that "Petit Moth" is equipped with "Cocoon of Evolution".

The Moths were used in the anime and manga by Weevil Underwood.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, the moths can also be Summoned by evolving "Kattapillar" with "Cocoon of Evolution". Two addtional stages are also added; "Larva of Moth" and "Pupa of Moth"

Summoning and weakness

Only 1 "Moth" monster can be Normal Summoned, "Petit Moth". The other "Moth" monsters can only be Special Summoned by tributing "Petit Moth" some turns after "Petit Moth" has been equipped with "Cocoon of Evolution".

This is a difficult process, as the opponent is given plenty of time to destroy "Petit Moth", before a strong evolution can be Summoned and protecting it is considered difficult and wasteful of cards. It is also difficult to get "Petit Moth" into face-up Defense Position before equipping it with "Cocoon of Evolution", while playing it in Attack Position will result in it having 0 ATK.
