The Montreal Canadiens are a professional ice hockey team based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and playing in the National Hockey League. The oldest of the 30 franchises of the league, having been founded on December 4th, 1909. It is also, and by far, the most successful, having won the Stanley Cup 24 times over the years. They play their home games at the Bell Centre.
