Characteristics

An MPTL-2a packed to move, accompanied by a spotter droid.

This tracked vehicle could launch proton torpedoes from nine launchers at heavily armored enemy units and was one of the few powerful ground units the Alliance fielded. The 2a model was lighter and faster than its predecessor, but its range and stability tested poorly during field tests, requiring the addition of stabilizers that were deployed in order to fire its torpedoes.

They were usually accompanied by spotter droids who used their sensors to aid in targeting enemy units. With the spotter droid, the range of the MPTL-2a was around 20 kilometers.
