Dr Who

From TARDIS Index File, the free Doctor Who reference.

Mirrors were polished surfaces (usually glass coated with silver) which cast reflections. Some mirrors exhibited unusual properties.

Overview

In 1866, Edward Waterfield and Theodore Maxtible experimented with static electricity and mirrors in an attempt to develop time travel. (DW: The Evil of the Daleks) Another time machine that used mirrors was developed by General Mariah Learman in the early 21st century. (BFA: The Time of the Daleks)

In an alternate timeline, UNIT used mirrors and the Doctor's TARDIS to create a Circle of Mirrors and send Donna Noble back in time. (DW: Turn Left)

The Tharils could use mirrors to travel to different dimensions (DW: Warriors' Gate), as could the Mirrorlings. (DWAM: Mirror Image)

Mirrors were harmful to some life forms, and were used to defeat the Gorgon on Zeno (TVC: The Gaze of the Gorgon), another Gorgon on Earth (SJA: Eye of the Gorgon), Medusa in the Land of Fiction (DW: The Mind Robber), and the Mara on Deva Loka. (DW: Kinda) The Borad banned mirrors during his reign over Karfel. (DW: Timelash)

The Doctor punished Daughter of Mine by trapping her within every mirror. She was said to be the strange movement one sees out of the corner of one's eye when looking in a reflective surface. (DW: The Family of Blood)

Susan discovered a full-length mirror in the TARDIS wardrobe room which reflected a pale-skinned young man with fangs. (ST: The Exiles) Later, Ace discovered this same mirror and the same reflection of the young man. (ST: Echo)

The mirror was a plot device in the I Love Bees alternate reality game. Specifically, it was a time-space connection between sections of the fragmented "smart" AI Melissa, which had been divided by a Slipspace anomaly that had affected the UNSC Apocalypso.

The anomaly had fragmented Melissa into Durga, the Operator, and the Sleeping Princess; the former was sent to the year 2552, while the latter two ended up in 2004. The three fragments were aware of the mirror's presence, but only the Sleeping Princess and the viral Seeker recognized it for what it was. The term, coined by the Sleeping Princess, likely originated from the AI fragments' inability to send a data query through it; the query was simply reflected back to its sender. Despite this, audio clips of Durga's spying filtered in through the mirror; the Operator was later able to use the mirror to manipulate Durga into spying on Herzog, and the Seeker used it to send the previously-mentioned audio clips back to Durga.

A mirror is used in the Nature Spirit quest to prove to Filliman Tarlock that he is dead. It can be found under the washing bowl on a table near the entrance to Filliman's grotto south of the Mort Myre Swamp. This item closely resembles the Magnifying glass.

Transformers

Up to date as of February 05, 2010

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki

Mirror is a combined Mini-Con being in the Armada continuity family.
So if Rook is good, and Crosswise is evil, then what the heck am I?

Mirror is the combined form of the Mini-Cons Rook and Crosswise, the partners of the enigmatic Sideways. Little is known about this tiny combiner's personality or abilities, as he is generally seen only as a passenger for the treacherous bulk's vehicle mode, generally separating when his master transforms so that one of his halves can form Sideways's head.

In his debut episode, Gale, he uses a disguaise to appear more like a motorcyclist. His head looks like a helmet, which is revealed to be a hologram. His body is covered in a leather outfit, which is later revealed to fold into Crosswise's Powerlinx port, or the equivalent of a belt buckle on Mirror. This disguise is oddly never used again, which is a stupid decision. Becuase let's face it, in his normal form, he makes Sideways look even more suspicious (when's the last time YOU saw a robot riding a bike?).

I never knew how ugly I look from here

He has no official English-language name, the closest he has being "Twins", as Sideways was originally solicited as "Sideways with Twins" rather than "Sideways with Rook and Crosswise". Thus, one could consider him this decade's equivalent of Bumper.

You will be whole again. I promise.
I cannot remain in this unacceptable operational status!

From Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker Wiki

Mirror monsters are a set of LIGHT Rock-type monsters based on mirrors and their reflective properties. Most of the Mirror monsters can copy the ATK and DEF of a monster on the field or even a monster from the hand. Mirror spells and traps on the other hand usually involve ways to negate attacks or Spell cards. The cards themselves were inspired from the card Copycat.
