Miria is the daughter of the slaughterhouse owner Grisham in Modoc. Male or female characters with Charisma 8, or Charisma 7 and a good town reputation, can add her into the party. This is permanent, with only one option for removing her that doesn't involve killing her or selling her to slavers; she cannot be asked to wait as can a normal party member. Adding her is achieved by seducing, then sleeping with her (the usual fade to black, except that in this case, the player's entire inventory ends up on the ground) After the deed is done, Grisham will barge in and confront the Chosen One. If male, the player can attempt to explain away the flagrante delicto as a "medical examination". If it works, you can convice Miria to have sex with you again and again, making it easier to achieve the Gigolo perk, If that doesn't work, you have only two options left: run for the hills or a shotgun marriage. You can also marry her if you're female. Note that this sequence can become bugged, the more so the more the player does during the brief interval between the deed and being 'caught' by Grisham, and the more the player does during the ceremony. You may choose to kill Grisham with super stimpacks when he succumbs to the effect of chems (give him about 5 and rest for a few hours should be enough to kill him) when attempting to sleep with Miria, Uncle Biff will give you the same dialogue as her father, though he looks strangely familiar and there are infinite Uncle Biffs. Must be a big family

This will of course happen regardless of the party limit, so it is possible to add her even though you are full. Should the player then ask someone to wait, she would fill the empty slot, and no new party members could be added.

If you run, the town of Modoc will turn hostile, so make sure you're finished with the area before you do.

Once married, Miria will not leave the party unless killed or divorced. Like Davin, she has no additional points in any skills whatsoever, but since the default for Unarmed has the highest base value, she is most proficient (or it could be said, least inept) at that skill. Like Davin, and unlike regular joinable NPCs, neither her skills, HP, nor AP improve. Neither Miria nor Davin can level up. Human sized, she can wear armor.

Unlike Davin, she only has the animation frames for SMGs and Knives, and Strength of three rather than four, which means she cannot use any SMGs without a strength penalty to her already deficient skill. On the other hand, the +50 to-hit bonus for short-range fire helps a lot.

Rather than selling her off into slavery, or extracting her brain, or getting her to relax for a while on the electrified floor, the latter two being in the lower levels of the Sierra Army Depot, the player might consider asking Father Tully in New Reno to bestow upon the marriage, a divorce. This will cause her to leave the player's party, and the game, permanently, and the player's Married status to become, Separated.[1]

Trappers are interested in spending quality time with Miria, although this is no way to get rich.

Miria's brother is Davin, who, technically speaking, can be married instead, with similar implications for the party's average combat readiness.

If you leave Miria anywhere, and return to Modoc and tell Grisham you think she's dead, he'll have a heart attack on the spot.
