Miral was eventually kidnapped by a Klingon religious group that considered her to be the eventual savior of the Klingon people and believed that only they could protect her until it was time to fulfill her destiny. To escape them, Torres and Paris developed a plan where the two would pretend to separate and B'Elanna and Miral would fake their deaths. Miral Paris was the daughter of Starfleet officers Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres, who served together on the Federation starship USS Voyager. Miral was born in the year 2378, just as Voyager flew through the Borg transwarp conduit back to the Alpha Quadrant after seven years spent in the Delta Quadrant. She was the second of the two children born during the journey; the first was Naomi Wildman. Miral was named after B'Elanna Torres's mother. (VOY: "Endgame")
By 2384, certain Klingon factions believed Miral Paris to be the kuvah'magh. This was common knowledge amongst Starfleet officers. (Star Trek: The Expedition: "Relationships of Convenience")
By 2399, Miral had joined Starfleet, encouraging many other Klingons to do the same. (Star Trek Online)
In an alternate timeline where it took Voyager twenty-three years to get home (as opposed to the seven it took in the main timeline), Miral was an ensign in Starfleet by 2404. Admiral Kathryn Janeway had sent her on a mission to negotiate with a Klingon named Korath for his prototype chrono deflector, which Janeway wanted to use to return to Voyager in 2378 and get the ship home sooner. Miral got Korath to agree to the exchange, but only if Janeway met him in person. Once Janeway arrived, she dismissed Miral, telling her to go visit her parents. Before she left, Miral threatened to break the arms of two Klingons who accused Janeway of being disrespectful.
