Mining cape: Misc

Up to date as of February 07, 2010

From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape

A Mining cape can be purchased for 99,000 coins from a dwarf at the Mining Guild entrance by players who have achieved level 99 Mining. It is the Cape of Accomplishment, also commonly called a skill cape, for the Mining skill. Mining capes are greyish-brown in colour, have the mining image, and have a light blue trim if the player has more than one level 99 skill. The Mining cape is considered one of the most difficult skillcapes to achieve and is the sixth most uncommon skillcape.

  • When first released it was possible for a player to buy a Mining cape even if they did not have 99 Mining. These capes were later removed from those players without 99 mining.
  • The pickaxe a player uses while doing the emote is a steel pickaxe.
  • The amount of people with 99 Mining improved rapidly after the Living Rock Caverns and Concentrated gold update, this is mainly because players could now get 99 Mining easier, and with all the gold ore they mined could make a lot of money.
