Appearances

Final Fantasy V

Meltdown is a Dark Art usable by Necromancers in the Advance version. It causes Fire damage and Sap.

Final Fantasy VI

Originally translated as Merton, its Spell Power is 138 and it costs 85 MP to cast. It deals unblockable, Defense-ignoring Fire/Wind dual-elemental damage to all targets on the screen, ally or opponent. It is learned naturally by Terra Branford at level 86, or from Crusader at a x1 rate.

A powerful combo can be achieved by equipping the entire party with Flame Shields that absorb the damage, so that casting Meltdown deals 9,999 damage to all enemies, and heals 9,999 HP to all party members.

Final Fantasy VIII

Meltdown is a magic spell that does a small amount of non-elemental damage and may inflict the status Vit 0. When Junctioned, its biggest effect is upon Vitality, being one of the best magic spells for this stat. 10 units of Meltdown can be refined from one Mystery Fluid using the GF Diablos's ST Mag-RF. It may also be Drawn from Gayla, Bomb, and Elastoid.

When a character casts Meltdown, an energy blast shoots through the target, stretching it and reducing its Vitality to zero.

Final Fantasy XI

Meltdown is used by the Doll family of monsters, and is their version of a Bomb's Self-Destruct move. It deals Fire damage to all characters in a circular area centered on the Doll itself. It is not usable by player characters.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Also known as the Dimension Magic Melt, this Planar Magick spell is used by Hashmal.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Meltdown sacrifices the user to do Fire damage in an area equal to their HP. It is learned by Defenders.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift

Meltdown appear with the same effects and learned by the same Job except that it has no element and its accuracy is half the accuracy of a normal attack.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Meltdown is one of Terra's HP attacks that fires a fireball at the opponent. Depending on how long Terra charges the attack, the speed and size of the fireball change, and it also slightly homes and can bounce off obstacles.

MISSION
Meltdown
Game: Grand Theft Auto IV
For: Ray Boccino
Location: Algonquin
Reward: $9500
Unlocks: Museum Piece
Unlocked by: Taking in the Trash

Meltdown is a mission in Grand Theft Auto IV. The diamonds obtained from the previous mission were never delivered to Ray Boccino. Believing Luca and his friends are to blame, he sends Niko to Castle Gardens to retrieve the diamonds from them.

Walkthorugh

Head to Luca's car. As you approach, they can be overheard discussing a trip to Las Venturas. Niko confronts them about the missing diamonds, but Luca feigns innocence and claims he gave them to Ray. Taking offense to Niko, Luca and crew race off to tell Ray that it was Niko who actually stole the diamonds. Niko steals a nearby Banshee and chases Luca through Star Junction until Luca's car plows through some tables in Middle Park and ends up crashing into a statue.

Luca escapes on foot and flees into the bathrooms where Niko gives chase, taking down Luca's men along the way. Niko eventually corners Luca in the bathroom, having hidden in a stall. Luca attempts to bribe Niko with a cut of the diamonds in return for sparing his life, but Niko executes him with a shot to the neck.

Afterwards, Niko calls Ray only to find out that his job was to simply just retrieve the diamonds, not kill Luca. Niko brushes it off and then meets Ray on the overpass bridge in Middle Park where he gives back the diamonds.
