Yeoman Mears in 2267.

Mears was a Starfleet yeoman serving aboard the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, in the 2260s.

In 2267, Mears was assigned to accompany Lieutenant Commander Spock's mission to study the Murasaki 312 phenomenon aboard the shuttlecraft Galileo. Thankfully, Mears survived the Galileo's subsequent crash on Taurus II. (TOS episode: "The Galileo Seven")

He was an U.S. Army Medic, Serial Number 3476511, abducted by the aliens and dissected when he refused to divulge information other than his name, rank, occupation, and service number, which is the only information that U.S. servicemen are allowed to divulge if captured.
