Final Fantasy

From Final Fantasy Wiki

The Mascot (きぐるみ士 Kigurumishi lit. Costume Wearer) is a dressphere in Final Fantasy X-2. It can be considered the game's ultimate job, and requires the most work to get. The Mascot dons the appearance of a classic Final Fantasy creature. The dolls they use as weapons are the same ones Lulu used in Final Fantasy X. It can be seen as X-2's interpretation of the Mime job class, seeing as all of its abilities are borrowed (and augmented) from other dresspheres.

Contents

Acquiring Mascot

In chapter 5, achieve Episode Complete in every location in Spira, bar Bevelle. Then, when you return to the Celsius, Brother will give you this Dressphere. You also see Yuna wearing this dressphere in Chapter 1 in Luca when LeBlanc is impersonating her.

However, because you do not automatically return to the Celsius after completing Zanarkand, you won't receive the Dressphere should you finish Zanarkand last. So either make sure that Zanarkand is not the last place you visit, or complete the bonus "Den of Woe" or "Fiend Colony" dungeons afterward.

Appearance

The three girls each have a unique costume for this job, each one representing two classic characters from the Final Fantasy Universe. The weapons they carry are also Lulu's dolls from Final Fantasy X.

Yuna dresses up as a Moogle, and carries a Moomba as a weapon.
Rikku dresses up as Cait Sith, and carries a PuPu as a weapon.
Paine dresses up as a Tonberry, and carries a Cactuar as a weapon.

Each girl will only take off the head of the costume during their victory pose, Yuna however takes off the the head piece and has it nearly fall off a few times when she used it at Luca. It is never revealed what they wear underneath.

Commands

  • Yuna - Attack, Kupo!, Swordplay, Arcana, Item
  • Rikku - Attack, Wildcat, Instinct, White Magic, Item
  • Paine - Attack, Cutlery, Bushido, Black Magic, Item

Each girl's mascot is unique. Yuna's Moogle abilities focus on healing and buffing the party, and could be considered the ultimate white magic command. Rikku's Cait Sith abilities are super strong black magic, and stat reducing abilities. Paine's Tonberry abilities are all about causing status effects to the enemy.

(Redirected to Familiar article)

From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

To the Yuuzhan Vong, a familiar or mascot was one who was a trusted aide, a close companion, and if need be, tutor. A familiar had additional meanings and duties which were unknown. Familiars and masters were connected to each other until one died.

Vergere was a familiar to Falung and Elan. Vergere's relationship with the two priestesses was a form of mentorship. Onimi was also the familiar of Supreme Overlord Shimrra. While Onimi used the position to control Shimrra, in public, their relationship was physically abusive, and Onimi functioned as a jester rather than an aide.
