Mark Strickson

Mark Strickson (born 6th April 1959 in Stratford-upon-Avon) played Vislor Turlough on Doctor Who from "Mawdryn Undead" to "Planet of Fire." He made a cameo appearance as Turlough in "The Caves of Androzani" and has reprised the role for some of the Big Finish audio dramas together with Peter Davison. He also played the prosecutor in the Doctor Who spoof mockumentary, "Lust in Space."

Mr. Strickson studied drama at RADA in London. Prior to his role as Turlough, he had appeared in several episodes of Angels. After he left Doctor Who, he appeared in other roles, including the young Ebenezer Scrooge in a 1984 American television adaptation of A Christmas Carol starring George C. Scott.

Eventually, Mark Strickson emigrated to Australia where he studied zoology at university. He now lives in Dunedin, New Zealand. He has also worked directing a few wild life programmes with people as famous as the late Steve Irwin.
