The Maritime Junior A Hockey League is a Junior "A" ice hockey league in the Maritime region of Eastern Canada. The MJAHL is a member of the Canadian Junior A Hockey League and Hockey Canada.

History

The Metro Valley Junior Hockey League was a Nova Scotia-based Junior "B" founded in 1967. The league was promoted to Junior "A" in 1977. In 1983 they raided the top level of talent from the New Brunswick Junior Hockey league. In 1991, they did the same to the Island Junior Hockey League and changed their name to the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. The only province in the region that is not included is the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
