From Muppet Wiki

Marian is Cookie Hood's horse, who appears in a 2003 episode of Sesame Street. She had previously told Cookie Hood that taking cookies from people without asking, even if to give to others, is stealing. Marion hates cookies, and prefers broccolli.

As Cookie Hood is a take on the title character in the tale of Robin Hood, Marian is presumably named for Robin Hood's love interest, Maid Marian.

A powerful-looking black man, Earl Marion is the Sheriff of the mining town of Redding. He supports the New California Republic as the future of the wastelands and is very friendly towards New California Rangers. Around 2241 he got into a nasty accident and ended up with a crippled leg. Unable to perform his duties, he had to rely on external help - something the Chosen One could do.

He wears metal armour and resides in the Redding Sheriff's Office. There are several quests he can give.

Marion.

Marion is a barmaid that dwells in The Poison Arrow pub. Marion the barmaid used to lead a group of merry bandits, but now she is content to stand behind the bar and polish her numerous archery trophies, in between serving drinks to thirsty travellers.

She had earned the trophies in the Ranging Guild Archery Competition, as she claims to have had enough skill to "get a bulls eye a mile away when the wind was high." An incident involving a butter churn and a Chinchompa named Fluffy stripped her of her skill in Archery.

She sells regular beer and Ranger's aid for 25 coins which temporarily raises the player's Ranged level. Marion also sells Ranger's aid (m) for 50 coins and some Skewered kebab for 25 coins.

She was released on 28 July 2009 along with the pub.

Trivia

  • Marion's concept art before the bar's release.
Marion's name, along with her examine information, is a possible reference to Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.
  • She is also a possible reference to Robin Hood's Maid Marion.
  • In Standard Detail, if you were to speak to Marion, her chat head would not pop up. This was fixed at around 4 hours after the update was originally released.
  • As of 29 July, 2009 some players who talk to Marion receive a graphical glitch where the hair in Marion's chat box appears as brown curls instead of her actual hair style.
The hair glitch.
