Marco of San Martino was described as the "companion" of Duke Giuliano during the latter's rocky transition to power. As such, he was a Giuliano loyalist in the struggle against Count Federico. His exact title was never precisely defined.

However, his support of Guiliano was absolute. He was once chained in the dungeon of San Martino's castle but steadfastly refused to say anything against his friend, despite the fact that doing so might have eased his punishment.

He tended to advise Giuliano to take a more aggressive stance against Federico and his men. In one notable example, he advised that the captured Federico loyalist, Rossini, should be severely punished. Giuliano instead chose to see Rossini dealt with according to sanctioned legal principles.

Although he basically trusted the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith, he likely would have preferred a more straightforward approach to dealing with Federico. (DW: The Masque of Mandragora)

Marco's sexuality has occasionally been considered by fandom. Some have suggested that he and Giuliano might be lovers. However, it is also possible to view Giuliano's relationship with Sarah as vaguely romantic. The narrative, however, does not address his sexuality in any definitive way.

From Muppet Wiki

Marco Jefferson is Gina's son on Sesame Street. He was adopted from Guatemala as a baby in 2006 (beginning with Episode 4130).

Marco's introduction allowed the Sesame writers to deal with issues of international adoption and non-traditional families.

Marco was the third major baby/child added to the cast. In 2006, Miles and Gabi, who joined the cast as babies, finally graduated from High School.

Executive Producer Carol-Lynn Parente explained the inspiration for the storyline:

Statistics show that almost a third of children are being raised in single parent households, so we felt it was important to reflect this growing family trend on our 'Street'. By using an adoption storyline to represent the single family household, it also gives us a chance to model yet another definition of what a family is.[1]

In his debut episode, Marco was played by adopted Guatemalan twins, Ashlynn and Caleb. For Season 38, Marco was played by a 10 month old boy, Matthew.[2]

Final Fantasy

(Redirected to Tia and Marco article)

From Final Fantasy Wiki

Tia and Marco

Tia (ティア, Tia) and Marco (マーゴ, Māgo) are minor characters of Vagrant Story, who are said to be Ashley Riot's wife and son. They both were murdered long before the start of the game, and are only seen in flashbacks showing the family's picnic on a windy green-grass hill with a single tree.

Storyline

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

In the beginning of the game, Ashley believes that his family was killed by thieves. However, when Sydney Losstarot digs into Ashley's mind, he discovers that horrible truth. In fact, Ashley was never a member of this family, and these memories are implants created by the VKP to make him a perfect Riskbreaker. Ashley was really the one who killed the family, but his guilt weakened him as a soldier. Jan Rosencrantz, a fellow Riskbreaker, helped implant these memories. He later testifies that this version is the truth during his battle with Ashley.

Just before the final boss, the actual events become more muddled. Ashley has a vision of Tia and Marco, who both accept him as their real father and husband. They tell him to "believe what he knows to be true in his heart". Whether this final vision is trying to say that Rosencrantz was lying, as he often does, is not clear. The game leaves it up to player to decide what is the real truth.

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki

Marco is a human in the Animorphs continuity.

Marco is an Animorph.

Marco's known animal forms include a gorilla, a shark, and a pair of dismembered T. rex legs.

Contents

Toys

Animorphs

  • Marco/Gorilla (Deluxe, 1999)
Part of the first wave of Animorphs toys, Marco transforms from a human who clearly ingests steroids instead of food into a gorilla, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. His gorilla mode hands are separate pieces that attach like gloves. He also had a chain accessory to use as a weapon, presumably because gorillas don't have sharp claws and are therefore pathetic weaklings.
  • Marco/Beetle (Deluxe, 1999)
Marco's second retail toy transforms from a rather beetle-y human into a beetle, as well as a transitional third mode combining features from both. His beetle mode antennae are removable.
  • Tri-Rex (Super, 1999)
This version of Marco was available only in the Tri-Rex giftset, along with Jake and Cassie. The toy has neither a human mode nor a complete animal mode; Marco transforms from a human/dinosaur transitional form into the midsection and legs of Tri-Rex.

Trivia

  • Marco's last name is not Polo. Or maybe it is. He's not telling.

Marco is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, whose family was cheated out of their posessions by Garome.

Biography

Marco once lived in Satellite, where he and his family were deprived of a lot of life's luxuries. After the Dark Signers were defeated and Satellite was reconnected with New Domino City, the family moved to New Domino and began a normal life.

Using false documents, Garome conned Marco's family into owing him money. As they were unable to pay in time, he repossessed their belongings. Marco tried begging Garome's thugs into not taking the money he needed to buy medicine for his mother. Garome took his cards but unable to find a rare one threm them all over the room.

In order to support his family, Marco worked in a delivery service.

He took his Deck to the Duel Shrine, where he left his cards and prayed for the Duel Goddess to use them to defeat Garome. Marco's brother Miguel tried talking him out of it, as he would be unable to duel himself if he went through with this. Believing that to be the case either way, Marco still left the cards.

Jack Atlas, who overheard Marco at the shrine, took cards from the Deck and used them in his duel against Garome. Carly Carmine took Marco to see the duel. Jack wagered his "Red Dragon Archfiend" card and Duel Runner; Phoenix Whirlwind to win Garome's false documents. After winning, Jack tore up the documents, erasing all Marco's family's debts. Jack also tells him, that he would be waiting for the day the two of them can face each other in a Turbo Duel.
