Magma is the molten rock found beneath the surface of a planet which makes up much of the mantle.
On the planetoid Darien 224 when an ancient Vulcan psionic weapon, the Vorl-tak, was fired it caused an energy feedback which shattered the planetoid’s mantle which began to sink into the magma layer. (EV comic: Cloak and Dagger)

Magma was the liquid state of rock when melted by some means. It was also known as lava when expelled from beneath the surface of a planet to the area above ground.
It was occasionally mined, such as on Mustafar.
Magma was a Jedi Mage, and the second in power to Caster Xan.
Magma was the first to attempt to attack the Temple of the Arrow Knights; he was able to single-handedly defeat a large army.
He later joined forces with Andrea Linn Xolo to attack the Arrow Knight Flagship, Mercenary. They crashed the ship into the jungles below, and escaped into the escape pods.
He then returned to the ruins of his home city.
