Magic Materia is one of the five basic categories of Materia in the Final Fantasy VII universe. It allows the user to cast Magic spells in battle, both Black and White; and also inflict Status changes on enemies and teammates. All magic materia affect Strength and Magic stats, and offer slight increases or decreases on maximum HP and MP.

Master Magic Materia

The Master Magic Materia is a special type of Magic Materia. It allows the user to have access to the complete list of all of the possible magic in the highest levels on the battle menu. It can be obtained one of two ways, and there's debate as to which is more difficult. The first way is to have a mastered version of EVERY Magic Materia, and talk to the Huge Green Materia. The second way is to defeat Emerald Weapon, which earns you the Earth Harp item, which can be traded for the Master Magic Materia, not to mention the Master Command and Summon Materias, too.
