MTV (Music Television) is an American cable television network based in New York City. Launched in 1981, the original purpose of the channel was to show music videos, as well as other music news and events. Today, MTV broadcasts a variety of music, pop culture, youth culture, and reality television shows aimed at adolescents and young adults. MTV has its own company called MTV Networks, which is a division of Viacom.

  • On December 8, 2006 Kermit the Frog appeared in an MTV News interview promoting Before You Leap and commenting on current entertainment news.
  • MTV also syndicates Scrubs which has many Sesame Street/Muppet Cameos.

Spoofs

  • A 1988 Sesame Street vhs made a big spoof called "Sesame Street Music Vide", with Count von Count as the host.
  • The network was spoofed multiple times in Muppet Magazine with the Muppets own version, MMTV.
  • In the 1980s, MTV's slogan was "I want my MTV!" This motto was spoofed by Baby Rowlf as "I want my Muppet TV!" in the Muppet Babies Episode 207: I Want My Muppet TV!.

The MTV-7 Multi-Terrain Vehicle was an Imperial ground vehicle, designed for a scouting role.

Operated by a single pilot and armed with a single blaster cannon, the MTV-7 moved on two large wheels. In its standard configuration, the central cockpit was raised vertically above the suspension forks, but was could also adopt a low-slung ground-hugging configuration for short periods.

MTV-7s, along with INT-4 Interceptors, were used by Blizzard Force as scout vehicles during the Battle of Hoth.
