M.A.R.Go.T. (short for Metro Authority Rapid Governmental Transit System), also simply called Margot, is a computer system found in 2277.

A nearby maintenance terminal in the metro mentions that Margot originally had a male voice, but was changed to a female's voice during its development just so that the system could be given the acronym M.A.R.Go.T. as a name much to the annoyance of the maintenance worker who had to reprogram her entirely.
Having been in service since April 14, 2065, it watches over the Presidential Metro which connects the White House with The Capitol Building's East Wing and Adams Air Force Base.
When approaching Margot, her voice will ask you to approach the console to identify yourself. After passing a very hard speech check, using your science skill, or displaying the Senate Employee ID, you can gain more information and the nearby Sentry Bots and Mister Gutsys will no longer be hostile to you. Apparently Margot realizes something happened on the surface long ago, but isn't sure what. If the PC tells her that nuclear war broke out and 200 years have passed, she tells them that this is meaningless as her primary function is to protect the Metro and she will continue to do so until she is no longer able to. She will also mention that there is a breach in security. She cannot tell anything about the attackers because she feels her sensors are malfunctioning since they are reporting the attackers as having no body heat readings and lethal radiation levels. She will also inform the PC that the fuse for the Metro needs to be replaced before the train to Adams Air Force Base can be used but will not allow the Sentry Bot with the replacement to be activated until the security breach is contained.
M.A.R.Go.T. appears only in the Fallout 3 add-on Broken Steel.
