Governor Locke was the robotic governor of the Volag-Noc prison planet until Gurney used a hacking system to take over the jail. He locked up Locke. The Doctor and Martha Jones came to the prison, with the Doctor freeing Locke, who then rebelled against Gurney. Locke decided that all prisoners must be killed, but he was stopped by the Doctor. Locke was then deactivated and reprogrammed. (DW: The Infinite Quest)
In 2370, Lok was a Cardassian officer aboard the Swift Striker. After fighting aboard Deep Space Nine, despite orders to the contrary, he was hung by Gul Marak. He lived for some time after being hung. One Cardassian said he had taken a few whacks at Lok earlier that morning, just to see him kick; he could barely squeal. (DS9 novel: Betrayal)

Lok was a barren, dusty planet in the Outer Rim Territories. Sulfur pools, lifeless rivers and volcanoes were commonly found on the planet.

An anomaly on the planet Lok was the mysterious "Great Maze of Lok", a square maze with several entrances and a small oasis in the middle. Settlers on the planet had no idea when it was built or why.
Nym lived on Lok as a child. He was a warlord during years leading up to the Clone Wars and founded a pirate group known as the Lok Revenants. They attacked ships coming and leaving the planet until Nym declared war against the Trade Federation, which later occupied the planet. After ten years, in 22 BBY, the Lok Revenants reclaimed the planet.
The Galactic Empire established an outpost there, as part of their plan to extend their control over less developed worlds. In 1 ABY, this was commanded by General Otto, who presumably led all Imperial forces on the planet.[2]
Around 137 ABY, Lok was home to a cantina called Brogar's which served as a safe-house for various fugitives. It was there that Cade Skywalker captured gambler Naxy Screeger and Jedi Hosk Trey'lis.
Lok was also the home of the Kimogila creature.
Lok is the Thai word for world.

Lok was a barren, dusty planet in the Outer Rim. Sulfur pools, lifeless rivers and volcanoes were commonly found on the planet.

Lok was also home of the Kimogilla creature.
According to Jan Duursema on the Jedi Council Forums, Cade Skywalker's pants "belonged to a really tall Ewok with a Vader obsession. Cade got them at a thrift store on Lok." Presumably this is not canon.
Lok is the Thai word for world.
A barren desert planet on the Outer Rim controlled by the pirate warlord Nym, Lok is home to a frightening array of pirate forces, monstrous reptiles, and remnants of the Trade Federation. Lok's surface is primarily a flat, lifeless wasteland crossed with rivers and lakes of sulfur and scarred by an enormous active volcano in the south. Nym's Stronghold houses the only starport on the planet, which allows Nym's pirate faction to regulate all traffic on and off the world, a situation which grants him considerable power.
Nym is an active employer of local adventurers and is always interested in hiring help for sometimes less-than-legal activities. Although the warlord is not overtly anti-Imperial, he does work closely with the Alliance on occassion and allows one of their pilot trainers to use his palace as a training ground.

Lok is part of the Karthakk System.
Lok has always been a pirate planet. It is filled with sulfur pools, few rivers, and a major volcano and numerous smaller ones, most of which can be seen from space. There is only one settlement, Nym's Stronghold, which is located at the northern tip of the planet. Also, though there is no public starport, is a Imperial Base which was built 1 ABY and is under the command of General Otto. Lok's most famous attribute is its native life, the Kimogila. The kimogila, a dragon whose size and power rival that of the fabled Krayt Dragon, is not found anywhere else.
