Davis' life is unknown, until he and three friends - Kyle Morgan, Matt Ryan and Walt Haley - survived a plane crash. Believing this to be a sign, they banded to together to become the Challengers of the Unknown.
When the group's headquarters was blown up, the Challengers disbanded. Years later it was discovered that Davis had succumbed to a life of luxury and been committed to an asylum. He rejoined the Challengers for various adventures.
Later, he served as a mentor for the second group to call themselves the Challengers, though the fate of that group is unknown.
During the Infinite Crisis, he helped stop a prison break in Blackgate Prison. He and the rest of the Challengers were assigned to a space station to watch for signs of a group of heroes who were lost in space.
By the time of the Final Crisis, Rocky had been ordained as a priest.[1] He is currently serving as a minster on Oolong Island, and advising the Doom Patrol.[2]Expert fighter.
