The Lawgivers were the instruments of Landru used to subjugate the population of Beta III. They communicated mentally with Landru, and used sticks as receptors for Landru's broadcast power. (TOS episode: "The Return of the Archons")

The Lawgiver was a Covenant Carrier attached to the Second Fleet of Homogeneous Clarity during the 9th Age of Reclamation. [1]

It was caught in the middle of a fight when the Covenant Fleet went into chaos and the Brute controlled ships started attacking the Elite Controlled ships at the start of the Great Schism. The Lawgiver was held by Elites and when they saw that the Elite controlled cruiser Incorruptible was under attack from the Brute controlled frigate Twilight Compunction, they subsequently attacked the Brute ship. The Lawgiver damaged the Twilight Compunction but could not destroy it because another ship crossed their field of fire. They also absorbed several plasma torpedoes meant for the Incorruptible, effectively saving the smaller ship. The status of the Lawgiver is still unknown. It might of been one of the few ships the Elites had to use against the Covenant Loyalists.
